Our bolt-on big bore kits are the best and most reliable way to get instant access to increased horsepower and torque. How much, you ask? Each of our bolt-on big bore kits increases your power and torque gain by at least 25-30% on average, just by bolting in our cylinders and pistons! Each kit comes with a set of our aerospace grade all aluminum nickel-silicon carbide plated bore cylinders as well as our custom forged Revolution piston kits, and let’s not forget the high performance head and base gasket set! For the quickest access to high performance gain, the 98” and 107”bolt-on big bore kits definitely give the best bang for the buck! Each kit comes with the option of three stock colors: Black with Highlighted (silver) fin edges, Natural/Silver, and All Black. For further specs and information, see the descriptions for each kit below. 98” Bolt-On Big Bore Kit: The 98” Bolt-On Big Bore Kit increases the stock 88” twin cam displacement all the way up to, you guessed it, 98” inches. This is accomplished through a 3 15/16” bore all aluminum plated cylinder and the customized piston kit. This application fits the 1999-2006 Twin Cam models with a 4-inch crankshaft stroke. The basic setup produces a compression ratio of 10.5:1. However, Revolution offers a flat top piston for the 98” kit which lowers the compression to 9.75:1 for those who may be concerned with higher compression. 107” bolt-On Big Bore Kit: Our 107”Bolt-On Big Bore Kit uses the same all aluminum plated 3.938” bore as the 98” kit, but with a different forged piston matched to fit the 4.375” stroke of the 2007 and later twin cam models. Although only one piston is offered with this application, we can lower the 10.5:1 compression with a .045” gasket kit upon request.

It is known mostly for a classic and cool style and a reliable output, but now Revolution Performance ’ s XL Big Bore Kits are here to up the power numbers to add some kick to a classic ensemble! Revolution offers a variety of kits tailored to the XL series of motorcycles. From a bolt-on 1250 kit up to an 88” and a 90” kit for cubic inches of extra power and performance, we have the kit that is right for you. As with our other Monster Big Bore Kits the 88” and 90” kits require case boring and crankshaft balancing which we can provide through our Crankshaft and Bottom End Services. If you ’ re using Thunderstorm heads, be sure to pick out the proper kit as we have developed our own piston to work with those particular heads. All XL/Sportster kits come with the same all-aluminum cast cylinders as our other applications with nickel-silicon carbide plated bored and three standard colors to choose from. Each of these Monster kits requires the cases to be bored wider to accept the new cylinders, as well as a crankshaft balance to even out the added weight that will be added to the bottom end. Of course, head flow services and larger camshafts are highly recommended to gain the absolute most out of these kits.
